This is a one of a little series of Findhorn Dharma Talks, sharing the unfolding of an experiment in exploring via Action Research how a Findhorn Foundation SCIO can serve the community of the Park Ecovillage Findhorn in new ways – especially through being a vehicle for the educational impulse alive in the community. The Dharma Talks were originally articles published in the Rainbow Bridge, the community’s weekly magazine/ezine.

FF3 — From I to We, Living Odyssey Number 3
In recent weeks, a quiet yet powerful theme has been moving through our community. It is giving the teams in Findhorn Foundation SCIO (FF3) a sense that we are living an Odyssey.
Homer’s Odyssey recites a long uncertain journey shaped by trials, unexpected companions, and the longing for homecoming. Here in Park Ecovillage Findhorn, this ancient story is being both remembered and being lived in contemporary form.
A New Year’s Odyssey appeared in January through The Theatre of Seven Directions production at Universal Hall. Questors invited us to recognise the hero within — the courage to face endings, assume responsibility, and allow new life to begin. And just this week in February, Dyke Primary pupils explored Journeys Home through art at Moray Art Centre, revealing how young people are already navigating their own Odysseys with imagination, collaboration, and hope.
Within FF3, our Odyssey is moving from quiet backwaters to more visible flows. We have launched the first vessel in our fleet of Signature Programmes. Experience Week at Findhorn: From I to We explores community, inner transformation and collective practice (many intelligences embraced by the Integral City GPS).
Strong companions who have helped map FF3’s itinerary have been the SEEN group, (SCIO/Ecovillage Findhorn/Education Circle, NFA). Strengthened relationships helped us birth coordinated Retreat Guru booking systems. Cultivating trust and transparency with the asset transfer charities, we are finding it is possible for independence and collaboration to coexist in community. The Education Circle remains a lively discussion and listening field where questions of governance (including Tier 2 considerations), belonging, and community engagement reflect not a fixed destination but a willingness to explore living landscapes.
Recent FF3 Trustee meetings highlight the practical work of the voyage — tending team transitions from Design to Implementation, appreciating our Inspiration Team for their hosting of daily meditations and newsletters to the world, and preparing community conversations to share FF3’s business plan. As an outcome of our Odyssey we are seeing that the journey reshapes both traveller and destination. You are warmly invited to travel with us to these upcoming events: (see details elsewhere in RB).
