At Park Ecovillage Findhorn, where I live in northern Scotland, I am fascinated by Rusti’s stone installations. Walkers might discover them all around Park Ecovillage Findhorn and Cullerne Gardens. I was particularly taken with Rusti’s “communities of stone figures.” So far, I have found 3 of them.

The first clan emerged in the Singing Chamber before they moved to Diamond Woods when Taizé re-started. Little singing stone figures sat around the edges of the upper level row, just waiting for humans to walk in and hear how their tunes defied gravity 🙂

The second family were the threshold markers in the dunes, guiding seekers to the final scene of Theatre of the 7 Directions –  Alice in Hinterland (these stones soon to be re-located around the bench on the Ridge).

And the third tribe are a gathering out by the wind turbines.

I just wanted to really appreciate Rusti for his creativity that defies gravity and always delights the viewer.

Where the Wind Meets the Turbines

By Rusti

Where the wind meets the turbines at

The end of the road

Figures erected to symbolize secrets,

Stare into the vacant

I to be a tool to catch the agent

Who tries to fool

And distract us from our own malleable

Essence

Whilst simplicity scatters her kindness like

Slowly drying tears

Let me re-engage the moment let me use

My inner ears

Stones are stacked in an ancient

Fulfilling secret ceremony

To challenge the nuances of our

Clouded archaic memory.
